I recently downloaded the beta version of the Al-Quran app by Greentech, which is set to be released soon. While I appreciate the effort that has gone into improving the design, I have encountered several critical issues that need to be addressed before the official release. Here’s my detailed feedback:

1. Feature Consistency with Previous Version:

The app must retain all the features from the previous version, even if the design is improved. The previous app was incredibly useful for those who want to learn the Quran deeply, and I personally have learned more than one-third of the Tafseer of Ibn Kathir in English with the translation of Mustafa Khattab, along with Arabic, footnotes, topics, and my own notes for each verse. These features were essential for my learning, and I strongly recommend keeping them intact.

2. Copy Feature:

The previous version had an excellent copy feature, where I could easily select and copy the text—translation, Tafseer, Arabic, footnotes, topics, and notes—simply by clicking “Select All.” This was super convenient, especially for personal use. Unfortunately, the beta version now requires me to select each part separately, which is tedious and uncomfortable. I also noticed that some of the commentaries, previously available in the footnotes, cannot be copied with the translation anymore. This needs to be fixed as well, as it was a significant benefit.

Additionally, I started reading on my Kindle device because I experienced eye strain from the blue light of my phone screen. I would copy sections of the Quran (typically 10-20 verses) along with Mustafa Khattab’s translation and email them to myself or download them directly to my Kindle app. This made it much easier to read and study without the strain of long periods on a phone screen. However, after the recent updates, you added commentary inside the quotes for the footnotes, which now cannot be copied with the translation. This feature worked well in the previous version and was an essential part of my study routine. Like with two clicks i could copy all selecting all and copying as shown below in video.

3. Font Sizing Issue:

There is a new issue with font size. When I increase the font size for the translation, it also changes the font size of the Tafseer, Arabic text, footnotes, topics, and notes. It would be much better if each section had its own independent font sizing control.

4. Husary Recitation Issue:

The Husary recitation no longer automatically switches between verses; it simply stops at some point without continuing. The previous version worked perfectly in this regard, so this needs to be restored.

5. Performance Issues:

The app has slowed down significantly, and it freezes more frequently compared to the previous version. The stability and performance need to be improved for smoother usage.

6. Explore by Topics and Footnotes Issue:

When I use the “Explore by Topics” option, the footnotes under the Mustafa Khattab translation do not work correctly. This is a feature that was very useful previously, so I would highly recommend fixing this issue.

7. Dictionary Root Word Highlighting:

When using the dictionary feature, it would be great if the app could highlight the root word in the verse. This was available in previous versions, but it seems to be missing in the beta version.

8. Fixed Translations and Tafseer:

I noticed that the app now forces certain translations and Tafseer (such as Sahih International and Ibn Kathir) to remain there permanently, and there’s no option to delete them. It would be better if users were given the choice to keep or remove these features according to their preference.

In conclusion, while I appreciate the new design and the efforts to enhance the app, the beta version has lost several essential features that made the previous version so valuable. If these issues are not addressed before the official release, the app may not be as beneficial to users, as the new design replaces the critical features with less useful ones. Please take these concerns into serious consideration before making the app publicly available.

There are few issues

Your app is the best in android world, but in iOS world there above issues that does not let me say the same for ipad version

When starting audio in translation mode, switching to musshaf, you lose Play/stop buttons while the audio continues, with no way to stop the audio.

You are only able to start audio in musshaf mode, so dual audios run. Please fix this by allowing audio playback settings to be retained across translation & musshaf mode.

iOS v1.15.3

I have a iPhone and when I select a end range for the surah it stops at the end of the surah I am playing and it doesn’t continue on to the next surah automatically. Can this be fixed. Baraak Allahu feekoem

When moving to the next page, sometimes it goes to the middle or end of the next page and has to scroll up to the top of the page.

Salaam, I used to copy multi ayah with share function but it doesn’t work in new version now

With the new update you added auto hide status bar in Mushaf mode.. this make reading quran very inconvenient kindly either keep it as it was in older version or give option in settings to make manually
